At its October 26th Annual Meeting, the Community Development Network of Maryland provided OCDC with its Impact Award. This prestigious award is provided annually to an organization that has shown a tremendous impact on its community.

The OCDC has been informed by the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development that it will be receiving the following funds in 2016: $50,000 for the OCDC Facade Improvement Program, $50,000 for Green Building Initiatives Program, and $200,000 towards the new Royalton Hotel mixed use project (1101 Atlantic Avenue) for demolition work.

On Saturday, November 14th, the OCDC will hold its 3rd annual OC Clean Sweep. This event includes having volunteers pick up trash and debris between the Inlet and 17th Street. The first downtown craft beer festival is being held at Sunset Park on October 24th from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Shore Craft.com, OCDC and the Town of Ocean City are sponsoring this inaugural event. This annual tournament, held on October 7th at Ocean City Golf Club had 30 teams participating. The weather was excellent. Funds from this tournament are used for several OCDC projects and programs.
